Page 42-43 of The Fox and The Firebird webcomic.
I modeled this castle in Maya, rendered it to create the lines for the drawing, and then colored the castle in Photoshop.
This was my first time using Maya for my comic, and I think it's greatly improved my quality. I think I've struggled with backgrounds before I started modeling them.
I wanted the clouds and the mountains in the background to give the impression that this castle is in the mountains itself. Like a castle in the sky.
